Night
The night is never scary
It is dark but it doesn’t
matter
All quarrels set aside
To seek comfort in one
another
Night never as evil as the
day
For the daylight drives
love away
Ensnared in the safety of
darkness
Night keeps taboos at bay.
Revenge and hatred are saved
for the day
The togetherness one seeks
Cherishes and blooms in darkness.
Shattered once again
The serenity of the night
Raring to let in the first
ray of light
The sun like a chauvinist groom
Kiss the darkness, usher
in light
And bid adieu to the night
As the day broke, love is
set aside for another night.
"Night".. has a very interesting play of words.
ReplyDeleteTrue, night has to be peaceful so as to de-stress the mind from the obvious and subtle after effects of thoughts, beliefs and expectations.
If "full of life and care" leads to giving more response does it impede the peace.
While shattering the serenity of the night, the sun brings a new hope, a new beginning a new birth.
But again, you wait for the night to bring more peace with added maturity earned over the day's travails..
Very good writing Mr. Abraham.
While it comes straight to the point it also adds a very soft hint at wavering options.
